KENNEWICK, Wash. - The American Goat Society is in the Tri-Cities for their national show and convention. Thursday's activities featured "kids showing their kids."
Exhibitors from all over the country and goats of all kinds have set up shop at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick.
Organizers say goats can make surprisingly normal pets.
"Many of these animals are leash trained, they're personal, they want to be up in your face and interact with you. many of them are like little dogs, so you can hear them talking behind you, they all have different personalities, they're much more than just a milk supply," said American Goat Society Director, Heather Fair.
The goat show continues through Sunday. It starts at 9:00 a.m. each day and is free and open to the public.
