Third Suspect Arrested in Milton Freewater Home Invasion
PENDLETON, Ore. - A third man is now in jail in connection with a home invasion attack on an elderly woman.
19-year-old Jacob Lee White of Walla Walla is now at the Umatilla County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Law enforcement in Boise, Idaho arrested him on Wednesday where he was living with his mother. Thursday, his lawyer entered an innocent plea to robbery, kidnapping and burglary charges.
Prosecutors say White and two other men (20-year-old Matthew Hermann of College Place, and 20-year-old Caleb Scott of Waitsburg) plotted to rob 79-year-old Joyce Key, who lived alone outside of Milton-Freewater.
Prosecutors say the three "left her for dead." Investigators say they found Key the next morning, bound with duct tape. She was hospitalized with head injuries.
