RICHLAND, Wash.- Saturday the public had a chance to tour the Tri-Cities by sky.
Flights took off from Richland Airport even offering kids the chance to fly. They looked out their windows and spotted things like their neighborhoods or school. The EAA sponsored event on the ground had interesting planes on display and even a steel drum band.
"To be able to get the joy on kids faces and to show and talk about what was yesterday. Bringing it forward to today creates that situation where maybe these young kids and young one would like to learn to fly and be the aviators of tomorrow," explained Clif Dyer of Sundance Aviation.
The aerial tours included the city of Richland, sights of the different mountains neighboring the city and vineyards around Benton City.
