CBC Will Offer Two New Degrees Come Fall

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - Columbia Basin College will offer two new bachelor degrees starting in Fall 2013.

The community college is adding project management and cyber security to its list of applied degrees. The school developed the two programs with the help of Battelle and the Department of Energy.

School officials say the new degrees are in high-demand and will lead directly to employment.

"It creates a bachelor degree track where there was none before for these individuals and the wages are absolutely outstanding in cyber security and project management with the median wage being $40 per hour... so these are terrific jobs," said President Richard Cummins.

The courses will be offered in class, online and during the evenings. According to Cummins, students are already trying to get into the programs.
