RICHLAND, Wash.- The area of Richland past Hanford High School around WSU Tri-Cities and PNNL is growing.
With the construction of new homes along the river, the new "Loft" apartment complex already being built and a proposed construction plan on about 25 acres to be called "Sundance Apartments", students, professors and researchers have more options to live closer to where they work and learn. Diahann Howard from the Port of Benton thinks the new residencies can only help the area grow.
"Just having a close residential option, just gives them that choice to be a little bit closer to work," explained Howard. "One of our favorite tag lines here is it's a place to live, work, play and learn."
"Sundance Apartments" will be proposed at the Wednesday night Richland Planning Commission meeting. The new apartments would be located just across George Washington Way from Hanford High.
