Study Aimed at Improving Communication Between Citizens, Government

Posted: Updated:

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - 'Improving communication among citizens and government' is the topic of the most recent study done by Walla Walla's Community Council.

The organization spent six months looking into talks between the public and the ports, the cities, the counties and so on.

Community Council studied from Dayton and Milton-Freewater to Burbank. The research covered two states, three counties and multiple municipalities.

"It was a broad reaching attempt to uncover communication styles, communication issues, things that worked, things that didn't work," said Douglas Carlsen, of Community Council.

The organization now has a list of recommendation they hope to begin implementing later this year.
