KENNEWICK, Wash.-- New details are emerging in the murder of a Prosser man whose body was found in a burned out car last week.

Two people from Grandview now face charges in connection with the killing.

Court documents show that a drug deal gone wrong led to the murder of 22-year-old Preston Yahne from Prosser.

The suspect in the murder 24-year-old Robert McCorkindale is behind bars at the Benton County Jail.

Deputies found Yahne's body in the trunk of his own car near Sunnyside last week.

Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies arrested McCorkindale and 19-year-old Laura Bancroft in connection with Yahne's murder.

McCorkindale told detectives he met Yahne at a remote location for a drug deal. McCorkindale told police that an argument broke out between them and that Yahne pulled out a knife. He says he then stabbed Yahne with his own knife and ran over Yahne twice with his car.

McCorkindale admitted to taking Yahne's body the next day to Emerald Road near Sunnyside and setting the car on fire in an attempt to destroy any evidence.

McCorkindale is now in the Benton County Jail facing murder charges.
