Girl Donates Birthday Money to Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - One local girl wanted something a little different for her 9th birthday. Instead of presents, she wanted to raise money for the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation.

On June 21st, Chloe Kennedy donated $398 to the foundation to help benefit local cancer patients. She also asked all her birthday party guests to bring a donation for the center.

Chloe's mother says although Chloe has never battled cancer, she has known several family friends who have.

Donations, such as Chloe's, go toward costs such as screening, cancer-education presentations, and classes in the Wellness Center.
