Olynyk Drafted 13th, Traded To Celtics

Updated:

Former Gonzaga standout Kelly Olynyk was selected No. 13 overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA draft, but was traded to the Boston Celtics.

Olynyk played sparingly as a freshman before using a redshirt year to bulk up and work on his game. This past season, the 7-foot center burst onto the collegiate scene by averaging 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

The Kamloops, B.C., native led Gonzaga to its first ever No. 1 ranking in the AP poll. He was a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award.

Make sure to read this list of Olynyk's top five moments at Gonzaga.
