KENNEWICK, Wash. - A local man battling brain cancer is getting the chance to cross off a wish from his bucket list.
Doctors told Josh Pearson in July of 2011 he had a year or two at most to live. So, he's spent a lot of time at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center lately. Pearson has nothing but praise for the organization but he and his family made quite the impact on the staff there, as well.
With the held of the Dream Foundation, Pearson's biggest wish was granted on Thursday. Next week he will fly to Daytona, Florida to watch a couple of big NASCAR races.
"It's just amazing. I look back and go, what did I do, that's a huge expensive gift. What did I do to deserve this. So it's been phenomenal and it's the trip of my life," Pearson said.
Pearson's brother is going with him and their trip includes a 'garage tour.' Pearson will actually get to go down in the pits and likely meet some drivers. His favorite? Boris Said.
