SPOKANE, Wash. - All is right in the world again in the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament on the planet.  After mother nature rained on Hoopfest's parade on Saturday, clear skies and high temperatures returned to Spokane on Sunday.

"Yesterday was terrible," said Dez, as she watched her five-year old son play in a nearby splash pad in downtown.  But with the temperature pushing 90 degrees by early afternoon?  "That fountain sure feels good."

Luke, selling bottled water and Gatorade on the corner of Lincoln and Sprague noticed a considerable spike in sales associated with the temperature spike.

"It was pretty slow in the morning yesterday," said Luke. "Today is a lot better."

And what sunny day in Spokane would be complete without ice cream?  A long line formed outside of Chris's ice cream truck parked in downtown, a far cry from yesterday's doom and gloom.

"It's been great," said Chris.  "90 is really the highest ideal temperature to sell ice cream."

But he reminds people not to just partake in the ice cream, but also be sure to keep hydrated with water.

"I'll give water away if I have to before I see someone pass out."

SWXRightNow.com -- Washington State head football coach Mike Leach has a word for his own sayings, Leach-isms. He's written a book about the leadership strategies of the great Native American warrior Geronimo. He once told the great fictional coach Eric Taylor on the famed TV show "Friday Night Lights" to,"swing his sword." Which is actually the title of his autobiography and a phrase he tells his players to do often. Now Leach can add the title "horrible commercial savior" to his repertoire....More >>
