Four Teens Injured in Walla Walla Collision; Driver Arrested

WALLA WALLA, Wash., -- An 18-year-old man is in custody after crashing into an unoccupied parked car on the 500 block of Washington Street late Friday night in Walla Walla.

Walla Walla Police and EMS say at 10:29 p.m. Jesus T. Sosapavon was speeding in a borrowed 2000 Pontiac when he lost control on a curve and crashed into a 2012 Dodge SUV.  Three other teens, aged 16 to 17 were in the car at the time of the crash, two of which who were unconscious.  All four occupants were taken to local hospitals and released with minor injuries.

Police say it appeared they were not wearing seatbelts.

Sosapavon admitted to Walla Walla Police that he had been drinking prior to the crash.  After being treated for injuries at the hospital, he was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of Vehicular Assault.
