Bonner County Authorities Investigating Suspicious Fire; Suspect Wanted

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE BONNER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On 06/26/13 at 7:10 pm a structure fire was reported on Grandview Avenue in Hope, Idaho. The fire was quickly extinguished by Hope and Samowen Fire Districts. The interior of the home suffered moderate damage. The fire was determined to be of a suspicious nature.

Bonner County Sheriff's Office detectives responded. During the course of the investigation, evidence was found that indicated accelerants were used to start and aid the fire. Detectives were able to identify a suspect who was seen leaving the area minutes before the fire was reported.

Based on the evidence, a $100,000.00 arrest warrant was obtained for suspect Lawrence Cross, AKA "Bunky" Cross for the crime of First Degree Arson. Cross is thought to be living in or has connections in the Hope/Clark Fork area. >>>Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Cross is encouraged to contact Bonner County Communications at (208) 265-5525.

Remember, only peace officers can arrest a person for a warrant. Detective Christian Frye is the lead detective for this case.
