Bonderman Can't Quiet Reds Bats In Loss

Updated:

Pasco native Jeremy Bonderman allowed six runs, the Mariners bullpen surrended seven more and Seattle lost to the Cincinnati Reds 13-4 on Saturday at the Great American Ball Park.

Bonderman was staked to an early 2-0 lead when Kyle Seager hit a two-run home run in the first inning, but he couldn't hold the lead.

The Reds tied the game, 3-3, in the fourth when pitcher Mat Latos hit a two-run double. Shin-Soo Choo singled Latos home to give the Reds a 4-3 lead.

Carter Capps allowed three runs in two innings of relief and Danny Farquhuar let four cross the plate.
