Carl is excited to start his reporting career in the Pacific Northwest.  He joined NBC Right Now in June 2013 after working in Southern California.

Born and raised in San Diego, Carl knew from a young age he wanted to work in the news industry.  He went to San Diego State University, and graduated with a degree in journalism, and is a proud SDSU Aztec.

Carl interned at Fox 5 San Diego, before he was hired there as an assignment editor and associate producer.

Through college, Carl wrote for his university's newspaper, The Daily Aztec, and was a talk show host for the campus' radio station.  He has had the opportunity to interview several news makers in San Diego, the California State University system, and Bravo TV's Andy Cohen.

When Carl is not in the newsroom, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and entertaining his friends and family.  He loves the water, and is excited to enjoy the rivers in Washington.  Carl is a Southern Californian at heart, and is a big Chargers and Padres fan.
