RICHLAND, Wash. - The mother of a baby girl murdered in June is reaching out to the community for help to fund the child's funeral expenses.
Right now, Reedy says she does not have the funds to lay her nine-month old daughter Serenity to rest. This weekend, Reedy will hold a car wash to help raise money for Serenity's funeral arrangements.
"Since all of this happened, I've lost my home. I've lost the use of my vehicle. I've lost my job. So, I'm relying very much on the community to help me to make sure she has a nice service," Reedy said.
They will be washing cars at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store in Richland all day Saturday and Sunday for donations.
Reedy says they do need volunteers to help wash cars. To donate, visit any Bank of the West branch in the Tri-Cities and ask to donate to the Serenity Jade Reedy Memorial Fund
