Bucannon Added To Jim Thorpe Award Watch List

Washington State safety Deone Bucannon has been recognized before the Cougars have commenced fall camp.

The senior was named to the Jim Thorpe Award watch list on Friday, as announced by the Jim Thorpe Association. The award is given to the best collegiate defensive back annually.

Bucannon was a Second Team All-Pac-12 selection last season after making 106 tackles and team-high four interceptions.

The Cougars open the season on August 31 at Auburn.
