Run or Dye Registers Thousands for Saturday's Race

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- About 6,000 runners are registered to compete in the Run or Dye 5K Saturday morning at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

The excitement surrounding the race is the colorful dye that's thrown in the air and at the runners.

It's a popular theme that's taking off across the nation and Saturday will be the first one in the Tri-Cities.

The slogan for the run is More color, More fun.

"You come out and you're all different people but when you come out and you throw dye, you're all one and you're just enjoying life and that's the kind of thing we like to bring to run or dye," said Drew Dunn, Run or Dye organizer.

You can still sign up for the race online or in person Saturday morning at the fairgrounds.

Registration costs $45 online and $55 in person.

The race starts at nine a-am.
