Run From The Cops 5k in Kennewick

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Anyone who ever wanted to run from police officers get the opportunity this weekend.

The Fraternal Order of Police and local law enforcement agencies are hosting their second annual Run From The Cops 5k fun run. More than 300 runners participated last year and organizers are expecting an even bigger turn out this year.

The money raised from the race will benefit Washington's special olympics.

"There's not a better organization to support when you're seeing those kids going out there and just having fun when they're doing these events that they have--it's actually infectious," said Marco Monteblanco with the Fraternal Order of Police.

The second annual Run From The Cops is Saturday night at midnight. The race starts at the Gold's Gym parking lot on Clearwater in Kennewick.
