KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A Burbank man is facing charges after police say he sold merchandise belonging to a business he worked at in Kennewick, and pocketing the money.

On June 29th, Kennewick Police were contacted about an employee theft taking place at Commercial Tire on Clearwater Avenue. At that time, the former manager of the business, 25-year-old Cody Mason, was identified as having sold Commercial Tire merchandise and taking the money for his personal use.

The investigation also uncovered that Mason had been doing the same thing when he was the manager of a store in Pasco.

Kennewick and Pasco Police took Mason into custody Monday. He was booked in the Franklin County Jail on Pasco charges. The case report on the Kennewick theft is being sent to the Benton County Prosecutor's Office for review.

The total loss from the Kennewick store is placed at $6,003.00 in merchandise.
