OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. -
UPDATE: The fire is 90% contained. At least one outbuilding was destroyed. Firefighters are hoping to contain the fire on Tuesday night. So far no injuries have been reported.

OKANOGAN, Wash. (AP) - A spokesman for the Okanogan Public Utility District says power has been restored in Winthrop and Twisp.
    
The north central Washington towns lost power Monday when a wildfire brought down a transmission line. A spokesman said 200 customers remained out of service Tuesday morning in the Pleasant Valley community at Malott.
    
The fire that broke out Monday afternoon was pushed by winds through about three square miles of dry brush. It burned several utility poles and two outbuildings. About 150 firefighters from local and state agencies worked to contain it.
    
Okanogan Sheriff Frank Rogers told The Wenatchee World (http://bit.ly/12tMuDP ) the fire may have been started by a mower.
    
At least two homes were evacuated until the fire passed, and about 50 residents were warned to prepare to evacuate.

OKANOGAN, Wash. (AP) - Fire crews are working to contain a wildfire that is being pushed by gusty winds in north-central Washington.

The B & O Fire has burned across more than 3 square miles, or about 2,000 acres, between Okanogan and Malott, south of Omak.

The fire has closed some roads, including a 2-mile stretch of Highway 20 and B&O Road to the Methow Valley. The Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle reports that residents in those areas have been warned to be ready to evacuate if the fire grows.

The Washington state Department of Natural Resources says two helicopters are dropping water on the fire, along with a single-engine air tanker. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters with Okanogan County and Washington DNR are fighting a wildfire that has grown to about 2000 acres near Okanogan, according to fire officials. 

Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers says the fire started south of Okanogan and burned quickly due to wind gusts. 

Right now two helicopters and two planes are helping the fight. The flames are burning mostly on Okanogan County land. 

So far, the Sheriff says two outbuildings have burned down, but they have been able to save all homes. The Sheriff also says it appears despite the winds, they now have a good handle on the fire.

Sharkey was accused of using a hot dog bun to simulate a sex act in front of players at a leadership camp in summer of 2016. While no criminal charges will be brought, SPS says their investigation remains ongoing.
