CH2M Hill Surpasses Groundwater Goal

Posted: Updated:

NEAR RICHLAND, Wash. - The Department of Energy says CH2M Hill has already surpassed their goal to treat 1.4 billion gallons of contaminated groundwater in the last year.

DOE was hoping to reach that number by the end of September but workers surpassed that performance goal three months ahead of schedule.

So far, contractors have treated nearly eight billion gallons of contaminated groundwater at Hanford, enough to fill more that 2,100 olympic sized swimming pools.
