RICHLAND, Wash., -- Drivers passing by the 800 block of Stevens Drive in Richland may have noticed the Les Schwab Tire Center is no longer standing.
All the business' activity has moved next door to its alignment center.
The service center's main 1950s building was demolished, and Vandervert Construction of Spokane is building a new 12,000 square-foot building there.
The location currently employs 20 workers but there is a chance for growth when the more efficient building opens in mid-October.
"It'll be a lot more efficient so we'll be able to offer the same world class customer service as before," says Manager Glen Bridgmon. "We'll all be inside, all under the same building, so yes, we're very excited to get into the new building!"
Les Schwab has more than 140 locations in Washington, including three in Richland.
