YAKIMA, Wash.-- Starting today, the Salvation
Army in Yakima is rolling out a July bell ringing campaign.
The organization usually does one
campaign a year around Christmas time.
However, in Yakima, they didn't collect
as much money as they were hoping and they need more funding to continue
running all their programs.
Volunteers say even a little can go a
"Pocket change, we'll take anything,
we will. Because all of it adds up and it's the work we should be doing,"
says Volunteer Dale Carpenter.
Volunteers will collect the money in
front of four local stores for the next five days.
