Richland City Council Authorizes Purchase & Sale of Goethals Drive Vacation

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Richland City Council voted Tuesday night to authorize the city manager to sign and execute the purchase and sale agreement for a vacated section of a Richland street.

Back in June, the city passed an ordinance to allow Kadlec Regional Medical Center to take over a 0.64 acre portion of Goethals Drive to support the expansion of it's campus.

The section that will be vacated runs from Swift Boulevard to Carondelet Drive.

Kadlec Regional Medical Center plans to build a new city street between Jadwin and Gillmore Avenues from its campus using the 700-foot long section.
