Ledbetter Stymies Dust Devils In Indians' Win

Updated:

David Ledbetter's professional baseball career was going pretty well when he took the mound to start Tuesday's game.

By the time he exited it became all the more impressive.

Ledbetter threw five innings of one-hit ball to lower his ERA to 1.00 on the season as the Spokane Indians beat the Tri-City Dust Devils at Avista Stadium, 2-1.

Ledbetter (3-0), a third-round pick out of Cedarville, struck out six and walk two.

Abel De Los Santos allowed one hit in his two innings of relief, but that would be it in the way of offense for the Dust Devils, who managed just a walk in the final two frames. Michael Zouzalik notched his third save of the season.

Kevin Torres went 3-for-4 at the plate with a solo home run. Cam Schiller went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
