WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Walla Walla Firefighters are trying to figure out what started a fire at a historic house.

Firefighters say Tuesday afternoon, people living at 532 Washington Street noticed flying ashes outside a bedroom window, and then learned the home's back deck was on fire.

Crews arrived and had the flames under control shortly after. Firefighters say the home has about $20,000 worth of damages, and more than $2000 worth of damages to things inside.

The three people inside, along with their four dogs all got out unhurt.
