RICHLAND, Wash. - A civil lawsuit filed against Dr. Lloyd Olson, Kadlec Regional Medical Center, and Premier Anesthesiology will not go to trial. A settlement has been reached between all three defendants.
The lawsuit claimed Dr. Olson inappropriately touched two unconscious female patients while he was an anesthesiologist at Kadlec. A surgical technician reported that she saw Dr. Olson fondle the patient's breasts.
Although a settlement was reached with Premier
Anesthesia and Kadlec earlier this year, one patient's claims against Dr. Olson were not
resolved until late last week. The settlement calls for the three defendants to pay a combined total of $110,000.
Dr. Olson's license was suspended in September 2010. It was reinstated in December 2011.
