Seahawks surprise local veteran at his home

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- It was a big surprise for one of our nation's heroes in Kennewick Thursday. Staff Sergeant Andrew McCann was just enjoying a day at home when Seahawks Brandon Browner, Doug Baldwin and Richard Sherman paid him a visit. The players presented McCann with a literal token of their appreciation and took the time to sign helmets and footballs. Baldwin said the veterans are the real heroes.

"For us they always talk about how we're soldiers out there on the football field, but these guys are real soldiers, real heroes. They go off in deployment and fight for their country, for their servicemen next to them. They leave their families here. It's a big sacrifice for them to do ultimately what they love and enjoy, but also it's a big responsibility," Baldwin said.
