Former U-Hi Star Hosts Local Basketball Camp

It's not every day a youngster can learn basketball tips from a professional. But Spokane kids have that opportunity with Angie Bjorklund and her Aspire Higher Basketball Camp.

Bjorklund, a former University High star, is currently holding her Challenge Camp for ages 14-18. The next camp available is the Vision Camp, which is for ages 11-13.

Bjorklund was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Washington in 2006-07. She then attended the University of Tennessee and went on to play for the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. Bjorklund has also played in Israel and France.

She originally started the camp in Knoxville, Tenn., in 2012.
