Castro Struggles In Indians Loss

A six-run second inning by the Hops did Spokane in, as the Indians went on to a 7-2 loss at Hillsboro on Friday. The loss eliminates the Indians from contention for the Northwest League first-half North Division title.

Kyle Castro took the loss for the Indians after giving up all six runs in the second. Castro gave up just three hits, but walked five in two innings. The right-hander's ERA is now 10.71.

Zachary Esquerra led the Hops at the plate with a triple and two RBIs.

Evan Van Hoosier and Alberto Triunfel both collected two hits for the Indians. Triunfel had a pair of doubles and two RBIs.
