QUINCY, Wash. - The Grant County sheriff's office is looking for a suspect they say shot a man multiple times in an orchard near Quincy Friday morning and took off.
The wounded man was flown to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee with wounds to his stomach. His condition is unknown.
Deputies are looking for a man who fled in a pickup truck. He's identified as 20-year-old Arnold Cazares Mendoza.
Due to the number of field workers who are possible witnesses, the shooting is being investigated by the Columbia Basin Investigative Team, which includes detectives from the sheriff's office, Washington State Patrol, Moses Lake and Quincy police.
