YAKIMA, Wash.-- Bands are still jamming out around Yakima as the 31st Annual Yakima Folklife Festival continues tonight.
Performers from around our region took to stages in Franklin Park, the Yakima Museum, and several restaurants.
Usually the Folklife Festival happens all weekend, but this year organizers weren't able to afford a Sunday show.
They hope the event's first ever beer garden will raise enough money to make that happen next year.
"The beer garden was an addition this year, I went through a lot of work to get the city and the parks and rec department and ordinances all changed this year so we could have that," says Festival President Don Eastridge.
Admission is free at all events.
While the concerts at Franklin and the museum are wrapping up soon, performers will still play at local restaurants until later tonight.
The Folklife Festival has a full schedule of all the events on their site, here.
