YAKIMA, Wash.-- The Yakima Valley Visitors and Convention Bureau launched a new website this week to promote local brewers and distilleries.
It's called the Spirits and Hops Trail.
The site gives visitors an easy way find and contact local brewers.
It's an acknowledgement of how the industry is growing in Yakima.
Within the last five years, three new breweries and three new distilleries have opened for business.
"The industry will be better with more of us, you know, Napa Valley wouldn't be Napa Valley with only one winery, and we need more people to drive a beer culture that will draw tourists," said Kevin Smith with the Bale Breaker Brewery Company.
Our area is already a major part of the brewing industry with 78 percent of the nations hops coming from the valley.
You can check out the Spirits and Hops Trail site here.
