Firefighters Mopping Up After Fire in Selah

UPDATE:

SELAH, Wash.--The brush fire that burned right along Interstate-82 near Selah Monday is now fully contained.

The Department of Natural Resources said the fire grew to a little over 200 acres.

Some firefighters were still out there Tuesday dousing remaining hot spots.

DNR said the fire is under investigation, and no structures were threatened.

 

UPDATE:SELAH, Wash. -- Firefighters are mopping up after a brush fire burned over 100 acres along Burbank Creek in Selah.

On Monday night, the Department of Natural resources says the fire is contained.

No injuries have been reported.

SELAH, Wash. - Firefighters are working to put out a brush fire along Burbank Creek in Selah.

The state Department of Natural Resources says the fire is now over 50 acres. There is one fire unit, six engines, two dozers, and two helicopters currently battling the blaze.

The department says no structures are threatened.
