Indians Explode for 10 Unanswered Runs in Win Over Hillsboro

The Spokane Indians used a nine run 7th inning capped off by a Janluis Castro grand slam to defeat the Hillsboro Hops 11-3 Monday at Hillsboro Ballpark.      

Castro finished 3-4 on the night with five RBIs to lead the Indians to just their second win of the series. 

Gabriel Roa went a perfect 2-2 with two walks and an RBI and also scored a run in the win. On the mound, Travis Dean pitched 4.1 innings of shutout ball in relief to notch his second win of the season. 

Spokane returns home to face the Vancouver Canadians Tuesday to start the second half of the Northwest League season.
