Morrison To Join Gonzaga Staff

Updated:

Former Gonzaga star Adam Morrison will join the Bulldogs coaching staff next season, according to a CBS Sports report.

Gonzaga head coach Mark Few told CBSSports.com that Morrison, 28, is taking classes and will be a student assistant.

Morrison averaged 28.1 points per game and led Gonzaga to the Sweet 16 during a memorable NCAA run in 2006. The 6-foot-8 forward was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 draft and played parts of four seasons in the league. He won two NBA Championships while with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Morrison is a graduate of Mead High School.
