Man Charged With Hitting 2 Pedestrians

Posted: Updated:

HELENA, Mont. (AP) - A 22-year-old Helena man faces charges after two people were struck by a pickup truck in a downtown bank parking lot.

Helena Police Chief Troy McGee tells KTVH-TV (http://bit.ly/16iFhsk) that a disagreement at a nearby bar apparently prompted the alleged assault early Thursday.

McGee says officers received a report that a person had been intentionally hit by a vehicle. McGee says the vehicle left the area and then drove back into the lot, hitting a different person.

Officers stopped the vehicle. Jacob Mark faces charges of assault with a weapon and driving while intoxicated.

McGee says the pedestrians received medical treatment at the scene.
