Montana Man Dead After Rolling Log Truck Near Pendleton

PENDLETON, Ore. - Oregon State Police are continuing to investigate Friday morning's fatal log truck crash along Highway 204 that killed a 51-year-old man from Montana.

Investigators say around 7 a.m. Shane Cosgriff lost control while going around a turn just north of Pendleton. The truck and trailer went off the highway and rolled once.

Officers say Cosgriff was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say they are continuing to investigate and say speed is a possible contributing factor.


PENDLETON, Ore. - The Oregon Department of Transportation says a fatal crash Friday morning is blocking traffic on Highway 204.

ODOT says the crash happened on 204, north of Pendleton, about 20 miles east of the intersection with Oregon - Washington Highway ORE-11.

ODOT hasn't released any details of who was involved in the accident, or what happened. We'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
