Jazz in the Valley Gives Ellensburg Businesses a Boost

Posted: Updated:

ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- While the Tri-Cities is celebrating Water Follies this weekend, Ellensburg is holding its own celebration: the annual Jazz in the Valley festival.

The event brings in jazz and blues bands from around the region.

It also brings in an average of two thousand people every year, a huge help for local businesses.

Many of them roll out special deals and menus to try to bring in new customers.

"Jazz in the Valley brings a crowd that's very excited to be here and a music crowd often is active in getting to places, going storefront to storefront," said Matthew Wollen, co-owner of Ellensburg Wineworks.

Jazz in the Valley will continue until Sunday afternoon. They'll wrap up the Saturday festivities at around midnight tonight.

You can check out the festival schedule here.
