YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima's memorial hospital announces their new CEO.
Russ Myers is currently the hospital's senior vice president and chief operating officer.
He has been with Memorial for 24 years.
Myers said his primary goal would be to get the hospital ready for healthcare reform.
He also said he wants to continue to give the community the top-notch service the hospital provides.
"Our job is to continue to provide the high levels of quality and safe care and to be really the best place for this community to come and get care. This community deserves excellence; our job is to continue to works towards excellence, Myers said.
Myers will replace Rick Linneweh as CEO.
He will continue to serve as COO for the next six months, and then move into his new position on January 21st.
