PASCO, Wash.- The Pasco School District is taking applications to join their STEM summit.
The STEM program is a curriculum that focuses on science, technology, engineering and math. Summit participants will help establish the educational vision of the three new elementary schools that will be built in Pasco.
The summit will be held August 22, 2013 at the Pasco School District's administration building on Lewis street.
"I'm looking for feedback that's useful for me to take and work with teachers and administrator and STEM professionals in our community to come build out these new schools and get a curriculum that's totally awesome and really immersed in science, technology, engineering and mathematics," said Deidre Holmberg, STEM Elementary Schools Planning Principal Deidre Holmberg.
Holmberg said there are 80 spots available for the summit. They will pick the best applications that will bring together educators, professionals and community members.
You can pick up an application at the Pasco School District office or download it from their web site. The deadline to apply is Friday.
