FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - People in Franklin County can learn more tonight about the issues in the current primary election.
The Franklin County Auditor's Office is holding a bilingual voter information session Thursday night.
Staff members say it's an easy opportunity for registered voters to ask questions in English or Spanish, so they can make an informed vote when filling out their ballots.
"This is a great opportunity for them to just go out and ask a person," said Rosa Fernandez, the Bilingual Election Outreach Coordinator for Franklin County, "instead of calling or going through security and coming into the courthouse -- a little intimidating -- so this is a great opportunity for them to just go and talk to one of us here from the auditor's office."
The Washington Secretary of State's office honored the Franklin County Auditor last month for its voter outreach efforts.
Thursday's information session goes from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at the Mid-Columbia Library Pasco Branch on Hopkins Street.
