Prosser Man Facing Multiple Charges After Contacting Ki-Be Teens

BENTON CITY, Wash. - A Prosser man is facing multiple charges after Benton County Sheriff's deputies say he sexually assaulted one Ki-Be teenager and tried to have sex with another.

Deputies say Jonathan Kuhlman, 41, went up to a 14-year-old girl while she was walking home from school and offered her a ride. He dropped her off at home and programmed his number into the girl's phone. Deputies say the two began talking sexually through text messages and Facebook.

The next day, Kuhlman picked the teen up from school during lunch time. Deputies say the two left, Kuhlman parked his truck, and began making sexual advances toward the girl. A concerned friend texted Kuhlman and said if he did not bring the girl back, she would call the police. A short time later, he dropped her back off at school and gave her marijuana.

Detectives say they learned earlier this year Kuhlman picked up another 14-year-old girl, drove her to an orchard, gave her some marijuana, and sexually assaulted her.

Deputies say Kuhlman picked up victims in a small, blue work truck. He is also known to drive a tan or red small work truck.

Deputies say they believe there may be other victims. Anyone with information can call the Sheriff's Office at 509-735-6555.

Kohlman is facing charges including communication with a minor for immoral purposes, 3rd degree rape of a child, 3rd degree attempted rape of a child, and distributing a controlled substance to a minor.
