Toughest Mud Run Yet in Tri-Cities Set for Saturday

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. - The toughest mud run yet in the Tri-Cities will hit the ground running... crawling... even swimming on Saturday.

A total of 16 obstacles will challenge those who dare. The Tire Factory is the main sponsor of the 5.5 mile course that has taken days to construct. While it does promise to be fun, organizers said it is not necessarily a fun run.

To participate you should be in shape and most kids under 13 shouldn't attempt it.

"Safety is our number one priority and we'll have water on the course. We recommend if you participate, wear gloves, durable shoes that you can throw away. Be prepared to get sand all over. We have showers available after," said organizer Paul Drake.

The cost of the run is $45/person or $40 with a team. You can register at the event as well as online.
