SELAH, Wash.--The father of a fallen solider is preparing for the journey of a lifetime.Don R. Blanchard is the father of the late Selah Soldier, Captain Aaron Blanchard, who lost his life too soon serving his country.He'd only been in Afghanistan for about a week when the base where he was stationed was hit by an enemy missile last April. To honor his memory, the soldier's father is preparing to ride his motorcycle to all four corners of the United States raising money for charities and spreading awareness about Aaron's life.Mr. Blanchard said his oldest son always wanted him to take this trip across the country. He's excited to tell the world stories about Aaron's passion for his family and career."He always wanted to fly since he was little, and he spent so many years getting to where he was to be able to be an Apache pilot," said Mr. Blanchard. "He worked so hard." Mr. Blanchard will leave this Saturday. You can be part of the sendoff.
