Posted: Updated:

UPDATE:  The Colockum Tarps Fire is now at 30 percent containment.

There are 40-45 structures in Kittitas County still in a level 3 evacuation area.

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. - Firefighters are hoping thunderstorms and lightning won't cause more problems as the Colockum Tarps fire in Chelan and Kittitas Counties still sits at 25 percent containment.

It has burned 70,000 acres and reached the edge of a wind farm about 17 miles east of Ellensburg.

The Wild Horse Wind Farm has 149 turbines that are designed to withstand brush fires. The turbines have been put in safe mode and are not generating electricity.

Two years ago the nasal spray vaccine was taken off the market because the Center for Disease Control said it was no longer effective for that particular flu season.
