YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima Police are investigating the scene where an explosive device was found in the 1100 block of Chestnut Avenue.
Police were called in Thursday night after reports of a series of explosions between 10:30 and 11:00.
When officers arrived in the area, they found a bush on fire.
After calling in firefighters to put out the flames, they found remnants of an explosive device.
They found a similar device that was intact after searching the area.
Police evacuated the nearby apartments and called in explosives experts from the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla.
They safely moved the object with a remote controlled vehicle and detonated it.
No one was injured by any of the blasts.
Officers are still investigating and have not named any suspects.
Police say the device looked like a small water bottle tightly wrapped in electrical tape and bubblewrap.
