Talk Show In Pakistan Gives Away Babies

Posted: Updated:

The quest for ratings has brought television to news heights, or lows depending on how you look at it, but a talk-show in Pakistan has raised the bar for controversial content.

One of Pakistan's most popular talk-shows features a host named Hussain who usually gives away prizes like motorcycles and cell phones to audience members but to start the holy month of Ramadan, Hussain astonished viewers when he gave two families babies.

The babies were abandoned and rescued by a Pakistani Aid Organization.

The families who received the infants were childless.

Some Pakistanis have expressed disgust that abandoned babies were given away in what they see as an attempt to boost ratings.

Hussain disagrees - he said the babies weren't prizes but a service to humanity.
