Pasco Mother Settles Sexual Assault Lawsuit with District

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - A Pasco mother and her son settle a sexual assault lawsuit with the Pasco School district for $150,000.

In 2011, the mother claimed employees at the district had failed to supervise students when they sexually assaulted her seven-year-old son two times on a McGee Elementary playground. The lawsuit claimed the district failed to supervise students and did not enforce policies to protect student safety.

Court papers say no district employees saw the assaults happen.

The mother says she filed the lawsuit to bring awareness to what happened on the playground and to prevent it from happening to any other students.
